Tuesday, August 21st, 2007

Coming up this week on DR. BLOGSTEIN’S RADIO HAPPY HOUR: (Live on Tuesday August 21st at 9PM ET and forever archived at BlogTalkRadio.)

Dr. Blogstein and Jane will have a real interview with a virtual celebrity.

Jon “NEVERDIE” Jacobs is a real personality in the Entropia Universe, which is a virtual world. Stuff Magazine listed him in their “Top 30 Under 30″ list.

He has become a real millionaire by purchasing an asteroid in the Entropia Universe in 2005 for $100,000 and building a nightclub, Club NEVERDIE on said ateroid. The club is now the #1 virtual destination hot spot and brings in an average income of $20,000 per month for him!

If you’re confused, join the club but we’ll get to the bottom of it!

Also, we’ll get an update from embattled “Bestest” blogger Bobby Griffin who faced allegations of fraud on our April 4th edition of the Radio Happy Hour. He was booked last week but was bumped due to the Walid Shoebat segment running late.

All that, plus we’ll discuss the Radio Happy Hour’s appearance in the New York Post with Justin the Weatherman and we’ll take your phone calls at 646-652-4804.

Join us live every Tuesday night at 9PM ET . And if you miss us then, we’re ALWAYS ON at www.DrBlogstein.com.

Embattled Bestest Blogger Under Investigation

Friday, April 20th, 2007

Bobby Griffin
, the creator of The Bestest Blog of All-Time, who appeared on the April 4th edition of the Radio Happy Hour to defend himself against accusations that he took money from bloggers for promises that he couldn’t keep, appears to be in hot water again.

Working off a tip from “Starrlight,” we’ve discovered that when trying to visit Griffin’s site, we’re greeted by the page displayed at the very bottom of this post, stating: “This blog is under review due to possible Blogger Terms of Service violations.

Griffin’s site promised added traffic to bloggers that signed up to his blog and offered even more exposure to those webmasters and blogger who donated money to him. The more money you donate, the more hits you were promised. But when he stopped updated his site and the hits stopped coming, paying members cried foul.

Griffin came on the The Radio Happy Hour and promised to come back bigger and better than before.

I reached out to Griffin for comment before publication of this post but was too impatient to wait for him to get back to me.

Dr. Blogstein and guest host Jaime welcome actor Joseph R. Gannascoli, AKA “Joey G” but better known as his Sopranos character, Vito Spatafore, the gay gangster. He’ll stop by to preview the final season of The Sopranos, which starts on Sunday on HBO. We’ll also find out what it was like returning to the “old neighborhood” after making out with Johnny Cakes.

Also, Bobby Griffin of “The Bestest Blog” will join us to discuss “Bestest-Gate,” a controversy roaring throughout the blog world this past week.

Griffin’s site promised added traffic to bloggers that signed up to his blog and offered even more exposure to those webmasters and blogger who donated money to him. The more money you donate, the more hits you were promised. But what happens when Griffin is too busy to work on his site and the hits don’t keep on coming? It very well may have been the biggest nerd uprising since the guys of Lambda Lambda Lambda took on the Alpha Betas of Adams College.

And for those of you worried about missing the American Idol results show, have no fear. Bond will be on his Big Leather Couch on Sanjaya Watch and reporting live as our Idol Correspondent.

All that, plus your calls at 646-652-4804.

Join us every Tuesday night at 9PM ET. And if you miss us then, we’re forever archived at BlogTalkRadio. I recommend you listen every week if you know what’s good for you.
