The Dion Roy interview begins at the 25:05 mark

A rising talent in the indie pop/rocdionroyk scene, Dion Roy’s recently released debut album, “Gallery,” has received rave reviews.

Blog Critics gushes that the album is “Expertly crafted, simply constructed, infectiously catchy, and instantly warming, this is a Gallery you would do well to take a gentle stroll through.”  And the Rock and Roll Guru says that the album “is a stellar debut by a talented artist that should break into the mainstream sooner rather than later.”

Gallery was released this past June.

The Dr. Robi Ludwig interview begins at the 4:40 mark

The Mouth, The Weatherman and The Blogstein

Wednesday, April 22nd, 2009

On last week’s Radio Happy Hour, when renowned psychotherapist Dr. Robi Ludwig was on to tell us about India Unplugged a charity event she was hosting to benefit poor Indian children, Radio Jesus was more concerned with whether her uncle, beloved WPIX weatherman Irv “Mr. G” Gikofsky would be in attendance.

When confirmed of his potential presence at the charity event,  Dr. Ludwig promised a photo opp for Dr. Blogstein, Justin The Mouthinator and Mr. G.

Below, is that photo.

Radio Happy Hour Caste System

Saturday, April 18th, 2009

This week on the Radio Happy Hour, renowned psychotherapist Dr. Robi Ludwig told us about India Unplugged a charity event she was hosting to benefit poor Indian children.  She mentioned how many still live by a caste system in India.

Later we decided to find out if the Radio Happy Hour lived by a caste system as well.  It turns out, we kind do.  Here is what we discovered:

This week on Dr. Blogstein’s
Radio Happy Hour
:

amber-benson-3.jpg

The sexy Amber Benson is best known for her role as Tara Maclay on the TV series Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

Tara is introduced in the fourth season as a romantic interest for one of the show’s leads, Willow Rosenberg (played by Alyson Hannigan) and thus was part of one of television’s first lesbian couples to include a series’ major character and the only to include two witches (insert your Ellen DeGeneres/Portia de Rossi joke here.)

Amber has since written several novels and comic books, her latest titled Death’s Daughter.

The evening, organized in association with CRY – Child Rights and You America Inc., a US non-profit organization, will feature the sublime photography of seasoned and award winning photographer, Glenn Losack MD.

We’ll also be sure to get her read on Rhianna, Octomom and any other story making headlines today.
