Full House reunion

This week’s Radio Happy Hour turned into an impromptu Full House reunion special.
Candace Cameron Bure, who played D.J. Tanner on the beloved ABC sitcom for eight seasons, was on the Radio Happy Hour to discuss her new project, “Make It Or Break It.” Bure stars as the soon-to-be step-mom to one of the top female gymnasts in the new ABC Family program that debuted on Monday with the second largest audience for a premier in the network’s history.
During the interview, Steven Stevenson, a wildly gay television critic from California called in to give his (interesting) thoughts on Bure’s new show.
“Hi, this is Steven Stevenson. I’m a television critic. I’m impressed,” he said.
“Oh – with the show?” asked Candace.
“Yes, I saw the premiere on ABC Family, and I have to tell you, you look gorgeous as ever,” the listener continued. “I just responded to the flips and the jumps and the gymnastics that the girls do. The show is cut together marvelously. I’m telling you, a lot of times you see those stunts and you say, Oh, that’s a stunt person. Let’s cut back to the actress. But in this, it is just seamless. Unbelievable!”
“Yea, I thought so too. I thought they did a really nice job editing the show. I saw an earlier version of the pilot, and since then they really tightened it up,” said Candace.
“Speaking of tightened up, I thought the boys on the show were terrific. There’s something for everybody on this series,” the listener added.
“Well, I’m glad you liked it,” said a by-then nervous Candace.
That was when the listener landed his final blow.
“I was bursting at my buttons watching the show,” he said.
Suddenly, Candace got wise and realized that the flamboyant critic was actually her former Full House co-star-Dave Coulier!
Coulier (Joey Gladstone), who introduced Candance to her husband of 13 years, former NHL star Valeri Bure, went on to reminisce about times spent on the set of Full House and recount a recent party they attended with singer John Mayer and fellow Full House alum (and now 90210 star) Lori Loughlin.
