We now conclude our look at the Radio Happy Hour hosts’ favorite episodes of 2009.

To recap: The Burl enjoyed a show featuring an outspoken reality television model, Vinny Bond chose an episode when the comedian guest beacme a real “Annoying Man”, and Collette McLafferty selected a show on which the highlight was a rapper singing her “happy birthday”.

Dr. Blogstein has a very clear idea of what he considered the best Radio Happy Hour in all of 2009.  He says:

The right answer is the show we did on June 23rd.  Not only did we have a mini Full House reunion on the show when Dave Coulier called in to surprise our guest Candace Cameron, but we also interviewed Max Ryan–an interview Dangerous Lee would call “the best interview ever“.  And if that isn’t enough, that was also the week we played highlights from my appearance on the Judy Judge Joy Show on BlogTalkRadio and that was hilarious!

OK, calm down.  Clearly someone loves himself.  Also that week, hip hop artist Nobody Famous appeared.

We continue our look at the Radio Happy Hour hosts’ favorite episodes of 2009.  We’ve already see what The Burl and Vinny Bond chose as their favorites, now let’s hear from the newest member of our team. . .

Collette McLafferty, lead singer of edibleRed, hosted her first Radio Happy Hour as an official member of the show on November 24.  Not surprisingly, its that very episode that she has pegged as her favorite for 2009.  Reason being? Collette says:

“Coolio singing happy birthday!!!!”

In addition to that guest and moment that also makes part 2 of the Best of Blogstein 2009 (premiering on Tuesday), the episode also included R&B singer Dasha and a round of Pop Culture IQ with Shawn Amos.

COLLETTE’s FAVORITE SHOW OF 2009

If you’re in former Radio Happy Hour host Dangerous Lee’s email list you woke up on Christmas morning to two really large and quite shiny gifts in your inbox.  In the spirit of the holidays, I will share that gift with you:

And remember, Dangerous Lee didn’t just leave the Radio Happy Hour to spend more time with her microwave and dishwasher, she also wanted to concentrate on writing her first book, which apparently she has completed.

We continue our look at the Radio Happy Hour hosts’ favorite episodes of 2009.  We’ve already see what The Burl chose, now let’s hear from the silver haired co host from the deep south. . .

This was a big year for our Big Leather Couched friend Vinny Bond.  He got engaged and then married.  He also was promoted from pro-doucher in charge of the chatroom to co-host in charge of the chatroom.

Vinny has made it clear that he enjoys the Radio Happy Hour shows where the guests seemingly forget that they’re not alone on a stage.  Shows where it matters not what the hosts say or do, the guest has an agenda and will talk over anyone and ignore any question to get their material out.

Judy Tenuta’s appearance during Vinny’s on air bachelor party on August 18th is one such example of that but Vinny chose  a show from two weeks earlier as his favorite.  Vinny says:

“I liked the show when John Lovitz hosted…”

Also on the show that week was a band called Acidic whose logo looked an awful lot like ACDC and we tried to convince Louise R Sacco of the Museum of Bad Art to display Dangerous Lee’s paintings.
