Da Bomb
For those of you who watched the Golden Globes last night instead of 24, please redirect yourself here. Everyone else, read on:
Holy Crap! How is Jack Bauer getting out this one? They nuked LA! Those bastards!
Last night’s episode of 24 was the best two hours of television since Geraldo went into Al Capone’s vault. I was up until 2 AM just thinking about it. What it takes other series (serieses? Seri?) two seasons to do, 24 did between 9:45 and 10:00 PM last night.
TWO series changing events. Bang! Bang! One after the other. If you saw it, you know what I’m talking about. If you haven’t seen it, you’ll either see eventually or don’t care, so I wont bother to go into great detail. But, I am wrong? AMAZING!
But also scary! The terrorism depicted in the first four hours of Season 6 is probably our worst case scenario, but that just means that it is indeed a scenario thats considered possible. Yikes!
As you heard at the end of last night’s show, the bad guys have four other suitcase nukes waiting to go off in a city near you. Are you the kind of person that’s curious as to what would happen to your city if it was hit by a nuke? Well, just like people with foot fetishes and the members of the International Badminton Federation, there’s a website for you too: http://meyerweb.com/eric/tools/gmap/hydesim.html
UPDATE 1/17/06: Here is a reaction to the first four episodes of 24 from a real life Muslim. I always find this guy’s point of view very interesting. He’s level headed and wise and proves it time and time again.

No 24 season 6 or Golden Globes here damn it! I would have skipped the Golden Globes but 24 I adore and can’t wait to see it, I’m soooo jealous!

Two words
FREAKIN GREAT!
More words
If I had all 24 hours of the show, i would stock up on beer and pizza rolls and lock the doors and watch non-stop
Jack is a FREAKIN GOD!

Dr. you give me way to much credit. Im only 26 you know!!! All jokes aside, thanks for the compliments, Im just being me and I am using this blog thing to express my feelings, its an outlet. My wife is convinced I should have some radio or TV show, or at least be a guest commentator. Who knows, I would rather be Senator, but then again in politics you can’t say what you want all the time. I prefer to be unrestricted.
As always, I love your site, keep up the good work and stay blessed.

Well, we’ll have to have you on the new Dr. Blogstein’s Radio Happy Hour when we debut in February.

I would love to be a guest. I believe your listeners would love my “openess”, my wife calls it my lack of PC. Either way, thanks.
Peace

I’m seeing more and more ‘24′love throughout the blogging community – I can’t wait for the next episode – i don’t know why they were so worried about handing Jack over to the terrorists – it’s the best thing they could have done!!!
Thank you so much for posting the link to Robert’s site it was very interesting reading a Muslim point of view and I wouldn’t have had the chance had you not posted it!

This is the best time of the year– when a fresh season of 24 is opened up like a napalm bomb undeneath the Christmas tree.
And speaking of bombs, woah! I *loved* the preview for next week’s episode where Buchanan goes “Jack, I thought you were out?” And Jack goes “Not after this!” Oh yeah, Jack is back!

I didn’t see the premiere of 24, but I’ve been reading about the backlash to it. My understanding is that 24 is not irresponsibly depicting terrorist attacks; the scenarios they’ve included in this tv show could happen. It’s a fact, and we’d better accept that if we’re going to stop radicals from blowing up more parts of our country.
Have you seen Sleeper Cell on Showtime? That’s another program that depicts the process of terrorist groups. It’s very well done, scary as hell, but well worth the watch.
