Hilary Duff fans are dumb
While I’m hardly uncovering breaking news with my assertion that Hilary Duff fans are dumb, I thought I’d entertain you with a comment left for one of my earlier posts.
Back on March 4th I posted: Dr. Blogstein: Hilary Duff Needs To Go Away and for some odd reason, its recently been getting heavy traffic. And, along with the traffic comes angry comments from Hilary Duff fans. One particular comment, left this morning, entertained me to no end:

I think Hilary is A-W-S-O-M-E! I’d like to see you try being a famous singer/actor, a female teenager, have a boyfriend in a band and wright a better song then she did. Well you can’t do that because her song is perfection!!!!
Aside from the fact that as hard as I try I don’t think that I’ll ever be able to accomplish being a “female teenager,” get a load of his or her spelling!
I love how he or she actually makes a point to S-P-E-L-L out “awesome” and then manages to misspell “awesome”!
I also enjoy how he/she can’t even spell “write”* right!
Hil, not only are you stealing kids’ money by passing off what you do as music, but you’re taking advantage of really stupid kids. Shame on you!

She is pretty. But her appearance has aged about 10 years recently. I don’t like the cosmetic work she’s done. She looks 35 now, not 20.

Hello, I am a Hilary Duff fan. I found this blog while searching for content for my Hilary Duff blog. I know that Hilary is an easy target. To the casual observer she probably seems like a spoiled, no-talent brat who doesn’t deserve her fame.
In reality she is the hardest working girl in show business. She also gives a ton of time and money to charity. I could give you a whole bunch of stats to back up these claims, but I don’t want to bore you.
If you don’t like her music, that’s fine. Usually when I don’t like something I don’t listen to it. It’s not like Hilary’s music is on the radio all the time and you can’t get away from it. She’s never really had a hit, so if you are hearing her music you are pretty much seeking it out.
There is definitely a chance that over the next few years Hilary’s star could fall and she will fade into oblivion. There is also the possibility that she will become the biggest movie star in Hollywood. I’m betting on the latter, not because of her talent or looks, but because of her work ethic.

Webmaster: Thank you for your info. I think Hilary should stick to acting. Its worked for Mandy Moore. Lindsay Lohan tried music and failed but she’s settled in nicely as an actress.
I’m sure Hilary is nice and generous and hardworking but she’s doing herself a disservice by singing these awful songs.
Personally, I like cheesey, pop music, but do me a favor: Listen to early Britney Spears and then listen to Hilary Duff. Its only been six years, but they used to put a lot more effort into creating crap. Now they just send any blonde chick out to do karaoke and then slap a price tag on it.

Maybe Anon was referring to the Wright Brothers, because Hilary’s songs soar like airplanes into the atmosphere before running out of fuel and clunking down into a pile of rocks!
Back when she was on Lizzie Maguire (not that I watched it religiously every Saturday morning or anything…) I thought she was the cutest thing, but then she lost half of her body weight, which seemed to highlight her horse teeth problem.

Hilary Duff is my idol, and I refuse to be called dumb. There will always be dumb people who like anything. However, you cannot insult the rest of us by lumping us in with that idiot who didn’t know how to spell “awesome”. However, you do have to remember that the majority of her fans are pre-teen (7-12 years old) girls who really don’t care about spelling.
Now, personally, I do think that any facial makeover Hilary got was completely unnecesary. Just go look for a picture of what she looked like for the premiere of “A Cinderella Story” and you’ll know what I’m talking about. Then again, her “makeover” really wasn’t that drastic. Pretty much all she did was get her teeth veneered, which makes her mouth look larger (Don’t ask me why anyone would want to do that, because I don’t know.) She also got a new makeup guy, which I think is stupid because all the eye makeup he has her wear makes her look like a racoon sometimes.
So, um.. that’s pretty much all I have to say. But next time, Dr. Blogstein, please be more considerate before saying something as all-encompassing as “hilary duff fans are dumb”.
Oh, and by the way, this is to big al: The official preterite tense used by the majority of gamers for the word “pwn” is “pwnted”, not “pwned”.

Dr Blogstein is a complete idiot Hilary Duff is a great role model for females look at what she has achieved and she is only 19!!! a lot better then you i can imagine. Although YOU think that that song is bad i bet many others love it i know for a fact one of my friends loves it and there are many other songs she has sung too so i wouldnt judge people if i were you.
