Our Future Leaders

MySpace gets quite a bad rap, unfairly so, I might add.

People say its a haven for child predators and internet scams, which is all true, but what it also provides is a glimpse into our future. Almost every single young person in America has an account and profile on MySpace. It is there that we can see who will one day be leading us and what our future might hold.

In honor of this, I present to you our future:

There’s a funny MySpace shirt at Scary Lion.com.

  2. Sarah Letnes Says:

I don’t think I’ve ever seen so many cries for help in 4 minutes and 53 seconds before.

  3. Dr. Blogstein Says:

shucks, sarah, they’re just having some fun!

  4. Nuclear Warren Says:

Makes me want to root for a Muslim takeover. They wouldn’t take too kindly to this upstanding behavior. One more good reason for Nuclear War!

  5. SC Says:

LOL Doc! But they look like a nice bunch of kids! I’m being serious! The thing about getting to our age in life is that we forget what we were like at their age. It’s natural and right for us to want the best for them, and for them to want to experiment. Please make sure you arrive early if you wish to get a seat at my next sermon.

  6. Janet Says:

My mom asked me to see if there was anyone she graduated with on myspace. The end is near.

  7. Dr. Blogstein Says:

SC, I don’t disagree. You are wise.

  8. Scottage Says:

Wow, it certainly was different when I was a kid! I’m not sure if I’m glad or bummed.

  9. Angie Says:

Frightening. My daughter’s myspace is pretty calm and tame..it’s just the stuff that OTHER kids leave there as comments that is scary. (and no, I don’t think my daughter is only sweet and innocent, but I try to be aware.)

  10. Bridget Says:

hahahhaa! that was great! I am on myspace, something I swore I’d never do, but mine is so boring compared to these guys, no lesbo drunken nights, no half naked pictures….maybe I need to losen up a bit aye?

  11. Dr. Blogstein Says:

Yes, Bridget, and when you do, send some photos my way!

  12. Scottage Says:

No doubt, can I get on that email list, bridget?
