January 31, 2006–(Washington, D.C.) In stunning news to be announced during President George W. Bush’s State of the Union Address tonight, the source of the erroneous intelligence that led to the current war in Iraq has been uncovered.

The intel, which detailed Iraq’s stockpile of Weapons of Mass Destruction, was provided to the government by James Frey.

Awesome author Vince Flynn, whose latest novel “Consent To Kill” is his finest to date, helped plot out the storylines for the current season of 24 on FOX. Well, if you’ve been an early adapter to both Flynn’s books and 24, you’ll know that perhaps this isn’t the first season he helped plot out, though this may be the first time he’s getting paid for it!

Many times throughout the years I’ve watched 24 and thought to myself, “Wait a second, hasn’t Jack Bauer done this before?” Then I realize, the situations are familiar because I’ve read them in one of Vince Flynn’s books!

Still, if 24 is going to copy, at least they’re copying from the best. I just wonder whether Flynn was put on the show’s staff to keep him from finally suing!

By the way, Jack Bauer’s alias after his staged death was “Frank Flynn”. Coincidence or a tribute to the real brains behind TV’s most exciting hour?

Speaking of Vince Flynn and Jack Bauer. . .There was a letter to the editor in this past Friday’s Minnesota Star-Tribune that I thought made quite a bit of sense. I will copy and paste it for you:

Pre-9/11 mind-set

I think those who opposed President Bush’s NSA wiretapping program have selective amnesia. If you were to ask any American – regardless of ideology – shortly after 9/11 if we should be “spying” on suspected terrorists or terrorist groups, there would have been about a 98 percent approval.

Not today. And the reason is the anti-Bush-biased media frenzy, much like the one over the college fraternity-hazing tactics that were used at Abu Ghraib prison and called “torture.”

Why is it when our fictional heros, such as Jack Bauer of “24″ or Vince Flynn’s Mitch Rapp, bend the rules to avert some major catastrophe, we applaud them, but if the real-life leader of our country does it, we dump all over him?

It’s time to face the fact that we are at war.

I’ve had this plan for a while and I figured that I’d put it into place when I become old enough to run for president. But its becoming increasingly necessary to get this process going and it simply can’t wait until 35 rolls around for me.

Hamas is winning elections and ruling the Palestinians, Iran is talking more trash than Gary Payton and figuring out Iraq is nearly as difficult as Soduku. Its time to lay out

First, a a word of warning: This is radical but sensible. If you’re against drastic measures please do not read on…

And now, what I was keeping in my back pocket to ensure victory in the 2012 Presidential Election, Dr. Blogstein’s Peace Plan:

• Slowly begin drilling for oil in Alaska. I say slowly because we wont need as much as we used to because we’ll also be making it law that all automobiles must be hybrids. We have that technology, plus the money we save by not buying foreign oil we’ll put into research and development for better hybrids and into subsidizing the transition of American drivers to these more environmental and fuel efficient vehicles.
• Now, were getting crazy…Split Alaska in half. One half remains Alaska, the other half becomes the new Jewish State. There is so much room up there, plenty of room to move Israel to a much safer neighborhood. Sure the world started in the Middle East, but its going to end there unless we act drastically.
• Once Israel is now safely located in North America, gut the Middle East. I’m talking Extreme Makeover. Bomb. Obliterate. Start over from scratch. Yes, I know many, many, many innocent people would die; but I got news for you, many, many, many innocent people are dying now at the hands of terrorists and oppressive governments.
• Now, rebuild and re-populate the Middle East and world peace ensues. We cleaned up the Middle East and sent a message to anyone who ever wants to bring evil back into the world.
